When preparing our own depilatory cream, we ensure that the ingredients are natural and that they do not contain any ingredients that could irritate the skin.

Whether it’s summer or winter, women always want to be beautiful… And smooth! If you are tired of traditional hair removal methods, be sure to read the following article. Learn how to prepare a natural depilatory cream and thus avoid ingrown hairs.

Why use a depilatory cream?

It can be for fashion, for aesthetics or for hygiene. Women and men remove hair from different parts of the body. And, in this way, they keep the skin smooth and beautiful.

Depilatory cream, in addition to eliminating hair,  is a product that has the ability to lubricate the skin  before using the machine, razor or razor.

If you prefer a homemade cream, not only can you improve the shaving or waxing process, but it will also avoid the use of chemical or artificial elements that, in the long term, affect the skin or even cause the appearance of ingrown hairs.

How to prevent and treat ingrown hairs?

Natural-depilatory-cream-to-treat-ingrown hairs

There is no doubt that an ingrown hair is very painful and, moreover, unsightly. No matter which hair removal method you use, chances are you’ve had it before.

Pay attention to these tips to avoid ingrown hairs and never have this problem again:

Exfoliation

Exfoliation is used to remove dead skin cells and oils that may be blocking the hair, as well as to pull the end of the hair.  Wear a special glove and apply a natural ingredient with exfoliating characteristics such  as:

  • Sugar
  • salt
  • Coffee
  • Oat
  • Clay

Repeat twice a day until the hair can be removed without problems. If you usually suffer from ingrown hairs, it’s a good idea to exfoliate 3 times a week.

acne creams

If you have pimples on your face and you undergo any treatment (homemade or not), it can be useful to eliminate ingrown hairs, especially if they are infected and have pus. The cream will reduce inflammation and the hair will have more room to come out.

If you don’t use this type of cream, apply a little toothpaste to achieve the same effect.

hot compresses

To soften the skin and, above all, open the pores, wet a cloth or handkerchief with hot water and place it over the ingrown hair region. Leave for a few minutes until it cools. You may need to repeat the process if the hair is too deep in the skin.

Another option for making a compress is to use milk and bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 slice of loaf bread
  • ¼ cup of milk

Preparation

  • Heat the milk in a pot.
  • Soak the bread for a few seconds (not too many, so it doesn’t crumble).
  • Apply over the area with the ingrown hairs.
  • Leave for 2 minutes. Repeat the procedure if necessary.
